By looking at what has been done before is a good starting point in terms of producing something that the client, the board of directors, will likely go with.
Take a Peek:
This example is a great use of the box outside of university, creating an interactive brand, similar to what we're trying to achieve with Reveal, however we feel more colour is necessary to get people's attention.
Going Going Gone:
Going going gone was an excellent exhibition of getting university wide involvement, something what we want to achieve with Reveal. The added colour really makes the brand stand out and grab the viewers attention, and the use Aperçu really makes the communication simple and snappy. This is one aspect we need to think very strongly about as Dan was very strongly against using Eurostile due to it being informed by 'trend'.
Made Here:
Made here was an exquisitely simple brand, but it lacked a certain sense of individuality when it came to representing the work that is put out by the university as Dan put it, it needs to be unique and most importantly it needs to sell the exhibition and make the audience want to attend.
